About Samburu National Reserve
Samburu National Reserve lies in Kenya's Northern Frontier, a dramatic, semi-arid landscape of red earth, Doum palms and ancient riverbeds along the Ewaso Ngiro River. Samburu's unique wildlife offering is the Samburu Special Five, five rare species found only in Kenya's northern regions: the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx and the Somali Ostrich. The reserve is also renowned for its Red Elephants and extraordinary leopard sightings.
